An Invitation to Two Spring Events!

Dear Friends,
Hi, how are you? Oh, you’re doing well? That’s great. 😉 Me? Oh, busy as usual. You know, work, singing, traveling, eating, etc. Thanks for asking. Oh, you haven’t seen me in a while? Yea, I know. Apologies! May’s going to be a really event-packed month for me, too, so we’ll just have to play it by ear. I want to see you though!

On that note, I wanted to invite you to 2 of my bigger events this month:

BUILD’s Youth Business Plan Competition (BPC) symbolizes the culmination of a year of hard work by entrepreneurial ninth grade students and their mentors. The students spend 7-10 hours a week during the school year with BUILD learning the fundamentals of business. Student teams of 3-5 members then present their innovative business plans in two rounds of competition to a panel of prestigious judges. The winning team receives start-up funding and automatic acceptance into BUILD’s second year program, the Youth Business Incubator (my program, woot!).

Our event will be held at Stanford Graduate School of Business from 12:30-4:00 pm on Sat., May 10. It’s free and open to the public, so you can bring people with you! It’s a really great opportunity to see the work that I do and meet some of my amazing students. Let me know if you’re interested in going, and I can give you directions.

SFGMC Concert
The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus’s spring concert is entitled “Making Our Dreams Come True” to celebrate our 30th anniversary and presence as the grandfather/starter the GLBT chorale movement. From West Side Story, to Mozart, to the eagerly awaited world premiere of new works from today’s most exciting gay composers, we’ve got it all! Join us, together with a full live orchestra and special guests as we celebrate.

It will be at Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall on Fri., May 16 at 8 pm.
201 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco.
Tickets are $20 and up: (415) 865-2787 /
Facebook Cause
Friend me on Facebook! BUILD is having a competition for who can recruit the most people to our cause. It would be great if you can join our cause as my referral. I want to win!!! If you’re currently my friend, expect to get an invitation to join the BUILD cause. 😉

And on that note, I hope your 2008 is going splendidly well. I can’t believe almost half of this year is almost through. Take care, and I hope to see you soon at one of the above events or at my house for dinner one of these days.

Love and respect,
